Social Listening: JBL

  The Brand I selected was JBL, this is a brand that produces all types of audio products, from headphones to portable speakers to in-home speakers. Recently JBL has received a lot of attention because of their recent Bluetooth speaker advertisement on tik tok from Doja Cat (a famous musician) which was a very unique advertisement on tik tok. I was interested in this brand because their speakers are good and I think their recent advertisement with Doja Cat is a good way to draw attention to the products they sell.   The ad I chose to analyze is the “Cracker Jill” campaign by the Frito Lay brand. I was interested in this campaign advertisement because I am an athlete and woman myself, and I think we need more representation of women's sports.  The article I found about Frito Lay’s Cracker Jill campaign discusses how the company Frito Lay is producing limited-edition bags of Cracker Jack snacks called “Cracker Jill” which has new women characters to show the demographics of women in the United States. There are five different bags showing diversity in women and these will be sold at baseball games starting the opening weekend. The snack will also be available with a $5 donation to the Women’s Sports Foundation. This article also discusses how the Frito Lay brand teamed up with Normani (a famous musician) to sing a new version of the “Take Me Out to The Ballgame” song. About me! Hello, my name is Sierra! I am a business administration major at OSU, I am finishing my bachelor's core classes at LBCC then I will be fully at OSU this Fall. I enrolled in this course because it is a requirement for my degree, but I'm excited about this class because In my psychology class last year we touched on advertisements and how the brain reacts to them. I would like to learn more about advertisements and the psychology behind them. I think marketing is big in our world and it'll be nice having a better understanding of how it works. Outside of college, I like playing lacrosse and running. I would like to have a career working for a sports team, which could be a hockey team or a football team, I like every sport. I also love music and I think working for Spotify or something would be fun to do too.
